Handy Hints
We want your visit to us to run as smoothly as possible in order that your pupils gain and truly benefit from the experience which they will encounter. In order to help this, we have developed some "Handy Hints" to help make your day run smoothly.
Date & Time of Visit
We recommend you make your booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment, especially if you intend to visit during our peak period of May/June. At the time of your booking, please enquire if there are any off-peak season discounts available.
On Arrival
Please send a representative to reception BEFORE allowing your pupils off the coach. Not only will this speed up the administrative part and your entry into the aquarium, but it will allow you to pass on any visit information to your pupils, and accompanying adults.
In The Aquarium
Please note for Health & Safety reasons, children should be accompanied at all times around the aquarium. No 'Food or Drink' is allowed due to Zoo License Restrictions. Designated eating areas are in the cafeteria and picnic area.
Packed Lunches
We regret that dining space in the cafeteria is very restricted and primarily reserved for schools that have booked meals with us. We will do our utmost to accommodate packed lunches within the cafeteria by issuing 'pre-allocated eating times'. However, alternative eating facilities may have to be used to accommodate packed lunches.
Face Paints
Due to the nature of groups and schools, we are unable to provide this facility
Our aim is for you to be able to relax, enjoy your time with us and for your pupils to go away having thoroughly enjoyed their visit. Using these 'Handy Hints' will go a long way to achieving that goal.
We look forward to welcoming you at Deep Sea World!
