Outreach visits
Using live animals, exhibits and interactive resources, we will bring a slice of Deep Sea World to your school.
Explore living things the practical way and create a Living Classroom!
Our wonderful collection of rock pool invertebrates and intriguing carousel of activities offers an exciting addition to your curriculum. All activities vary according to age, and ability.
Activities
Our Education Team will guide you through two different stations, the first is our interactive rock pool.
The second station is your choice. You may choose from one of the following:
Sharks:
Discover the differences between fish and sharks. What do they eat? How do they hunt? Which sharks are found around the coast of Britain? Join us for interactive discovery activities where you can learn more about these amazing creatures
Pollution:
What is pollution? And what are the effects on marine life? Can you do anything to save our planet? Help us sort through the rubbish and separate the recycling, through hands-on games and worksheets.
Classification:
What is Classification? And how are living things classified? Find out where fish and sharks feature in the animal kingdom, and using our flowcharts, group sharks according to their varying characteristics.
Your own topic
Just give us at least 2 weeks advanced warning, and we will match your requirements. Previous topics have included colours and tropical rainforests.
